PROJECT OVERVIEW

A vibrant hotel that has been at the heart of London's Mayfair since 1931, The Dorchester is an iconic landmark and a destination in itself. With a high spirit and lively soul the flamboyant venue captures the energy of London and matches its pace of life.

Having undergone a comprehensive transformation, the hotel revealed its new interiors on the ground floor in the end of 2022 / early 2023. The Promenade, re-imagined by acclaimed designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, is set to capture guests’ imaginations from the moment they step through the timeless new lobby of The Dorchester, while the glamorous and sparkling new Artist's Bar shines at every angle from the bar’s own Lalique crystal designs and Liberace’s legendary mirrored piano. Inspired by the spirit and elegance of the 30s, a time when manners were still important and yet mayhem was celebrated, the new Vesper Bar, designed by Martin Brudnizki, will be London’s ultimate destination for cocktail sipping, deal making and legend creating.

You will find a selection of Zico Lighting clear Candles and GLS lamps in ambient temperature of 2200K as well as some of our Porcelain Dim-to-Warm products installed throughout the ground floor areas.

LDI's Arianna Ghezzi was the lead lighting designer for the project. She remarked: 'It was very important for us to suggest a very warm colour temperature for all decorative lighting, paramount to create the perfect ambiance'.

Following the successful installation within the ground floor areas, Zico Lighting are set to continue supporting this project as the redesign continues into the rooms and suites.
