Sitting between glorious Royal Parkland and the buzz of central Knightsbridge, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park offers the essence of timeless heritage coupled with contemporary flair and impeccable service, so it is no surprise that perfection is embedded in everything they do.

The hotel team were looking for better quality lamps to illuminate the exclusive surroundings as an ongoing project. They used a selection of Zico GLS and candle lamps in 2200-2700K to light up the hotel corridors and the stunning Ballroom, where HM Queen Elizabeth II learned to dance with her sister, the late Princess Margaret.

Extensively restored, the room presents a visual feast of rich 24-carat gilding, breath-taking chandeliers and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows.

Following the successful installation, the superior quality of the new lamps was quickly recognised with Zico Lighting becoming a preferred lighting partner for this luxury hotel group.

We have tested Zico clear A60 GLS LED filament lamp on our standard multichannel CB Series of dimmers: they dim perfectly from 0 to 100%.

I have never seen a mains dimmable filament lamp dim so perfectly and to such low stable levels, I am amazed!

We have tested the same lamps on our trailing edge single channel dimmer with exactly the same result.
